The Kings of Europe
Last night was the big football night. It's been a while since I watched a game, but I just could not afford missing this one. One of the best finals in Champion's League ever - Manchester United vs Barcelona! I was quite torn for which team I should cheer, since they're both so damn good, but I went for Barca as it has been my favorite team for years now. And guess what? They won! I could not be more ecstatic. What a beautiful football!

Book Luck
I've discovered the nicest book store in my country! I've been waiting for this to happen for years! It sells used books in English. Ah, what a heaven for a hopless bookworm that I am. There are great books on Chinese characters and history, gardening, horses, travel guides and many more. I found the two Harry Potter books I didn't have for half the usual price, and my beloved Da Vinci Code that I still have not read in English. I already want to go back to look for more.

Naked Ambition
After having tried to write for hours and collapsing in desperation about my lack of writing skills, I decided to Google for some inspiration, despite the drilling pain in my temple and need for sleep. I came across this wonderful editorial of ELLE May 2009, starring the stunning Adriana Lima and shot by Dusan Reljin. I'm enamoured by the first one. It's very ... me.

Pleasantville

I just received this in my e-mail from whowhatwear.com. And this is like a reflection of my this summer's dream wardrobe! I love everything so much! My favorites are the Steven Alan Soma Silk Dress, Lee Angel Serena Beaded Earrings, American Eagle Denim Bermuda Shorts, APC Madras Check Ruch Top and the Urban Outfitters Leather Saddle Shoe. Hm, that's pretty much everything that's there.

Working Day
I feel more desperate and tired with every minute. I'm up to my ears in year 210 BC. I'm up to my ears in Chinese history. I'm up to my ears in papers. I've been writing all day, but I feel like I haven't moved on at all. I lambaste myself for every free minute I give myself. Time is running short and my stomach is clenching in the horror of the end of term approaching.

Sunday Report
* I woke up, feeling rather confused about what I have to do and what everybody wants from me
* I shuffled to the kitchen and had my daily mug of cocoa
* I put on a pair of black pants and, surprise!, a yellow sweater
* I panicked for almost losing one of my contact lenses
* I was glad to discover that my hair had turned curly after all the twists I had made in it
* I went to the market and bought tons of flowers
* I went to the cemetary, after which I felt a little depressed and tearful
* I didn't feel like talking
* I went home and ate my salmon
* I opened my laptop and tried to study but I failed
* I browsed internet instead
* I received a mail from someone I had not expected
* I spent a good deal of time pondering what the hell was that about
* I day-dreamed about catwalks and runways and stuff
* I ate a piece of apple cake and drank some tea
* I took my self in hands and opened my Sushi Kit
* I made sushi
* I laid the table
* I made tea
* I waited for guests to arrive
* I had a lovely sushi night

Asian Crush
I've always had a thing for Asian men. And I've always wondered, what is it about them that makes them so appealing? Well, I still haven't figured that out. I just like them. They are a good motivation for me to study Chinese even harder than I do and then jump on the plane and go and find my own Asian man. ^^,

City Bicycles
I received a promotional brochure about bikes this morning and, boy, did I fell in love. I remember fawning over these some year or so ago. I've always wanted a bike, but then again, bikes that I like are riduculously expensive. And also I can't imagine a place in my apartment where I could keep it. So, I guess I'll just dream about riding around the town with a turquoise lady cruiser bicycle for now. Maybe in some not too far future ...

Beads
I did a little bit of wandering along the streets today and floated into a weird little clothing shop. In there I almost went crazy over and dived into a basket full of low-price shiny beads that would go perfectly with almost anything. I bought two - black and white, but my mind is still on the baby pink and turquoise ones. Maybe I should use some color on me after all. I've been thinking about something pink for a while now. Who knows, maybe I'll return for them.

Shiny Robert

Of course, I, as a majority of girls all over the world, have not been able to avoid the charm that Robert Pattinson is spreading everywhere he goes. And yes, I prefer the natural Robert instead of the sparkly, shiny perfect vampire Edward. Although that concept might be appealing too. It is just that Robert embodies pretty much everything that I've always liked in men - that messy out-of-bed look. He has a mass of wild dirty hair. He has something more than just that average cutie-boy looks. He's funny as hell. He's tall. He has a great yet very simple sense of style. And even the fact that he smokes seems, to hell with it, sexy. So, what is it with me? I suppose the good old bad boy factor is doing its work. Oh well, who can blame me. At least I still think Johnny Depp is cooler. Though with the right roles, dark and heavy and a little weird, Robert might just become the next JD.
